The challenge: The first challenge was taking on the project. For this type of project, the client needs an immediate response and constant availability: a prospectus undergoes many changes over time and the translators have to keep pace!

The solution: Apart from the need to rapidly set up a team of translators and proofreaders working separately whilst ensuring consistent style and terminology, this project could only be entrusted to our most experienced translators. We therefore had to put together a crack team of our best French translators able to follow the pace over a relatively long period. Among other things, the team had to increase its daily volume of translation and proofreading (without compromising our agency’s exacting quality standards) and work overtime, including weekends, in order to incorporate three sets of changes made by the client over the course of the project. Each batch of updates required reworking the whole translation, not to mention the challenges of working on documents in various stages of revision.

The payoff: Capitalising on their experience with this type of project, our teams succeeded in meeting the client’s tight deadlines and the client was able to file its multilingual prospectus with the market authorities by the prescribed deadline.
