The challenge: Every year, Over the Word translates a number of registration documents and annual reports for listed companies operating in a huge range of business sectors. These documents include information on the company’s business, governance, customers, R&D, risk factors and CSR data, as well as the consolidated financial statements and notes. We’re talking about large documents containing tens of thousands of words, which must be delivered within strict deadlines.
The solution: If the turnaround time is too short for the job to be assigned to a single translator, we set up a team of specialist translators. Usually, the project is completed by our in-house native English translators, who are able to discuss problems and reach a consensus so as to ensure these large-scale projects are delivered on time. If a third, freelance translator has to be taken on board, he or she is kept up to date with all terminology decisions.
